Plenty of dry weather with sunny spells and overnight frosts, a little milder into next week

High pressure dominates through the week. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry weather, but also cool daytime temperatures and a risk of frost overnight. It may become a little milder through the weekend with a risk of some cloud and rain in Ireland and Scotland, although this would only be mainly light and patchy.

Thursday 15/4/21
High pressure remains over the UK and Ireland on Thursday, centred east of the country. Sunny spells but broken cloud too. Little change into the afternoon with further broken cloud and some sunny spells. Scattered showers developing in the afternoon, but the majority of places remain dry throughout. Tops at 9 to 12C.
 

Friday 16/4/21
High pressure remains over the UK and much of Ireland on Friday, the high staying centred to the east of the country. A weak front brings some cloud and outbreaks of rain into western Ireland. Dry for Northern and eastern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. The best sunshine in central and eastern areas. A morning frost, temperatures then rising to 10 to 12C.
 

Saturday 17/4/21
Bright and mostly dry in the UK and Ireland on Saturday. The best sunshine again in central and eastern areas, more cloud tending to affect the west. A few spots of rain in southwest England. Tops at 10 to 12C, a morning frost in central areas of England, Wales and Scotland.

Sunday 18/4/21
Staying dry for many areas, the high pressure again to the east of the UK. periods of rain in Ireland and perhaps the far west of Scotland. Broken cloud and dry over the rest of Scotland, England and Wales. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Monday 19/4/21
Cloud and rain may affect Ireland and Scotland, low cloud around western coasts and hills. Wales and most of England should be dry, although some spots of drizzle may affect the hills. Tops of 9C in Scotland and Ireland, 13 to 15C in England and Wales.

Tuesday 20/4/21
High pressure builds again on Tuesday. A weak front bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain into Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland. Dry to the south with some sunny spells here. Highs at 9 to 12C.
