Dry this week, turning more showery and cool into next week

Pressure is going to be staying high in the coming days. Plenty of dry weather with sunny spells. Overnight frosts are likely. A tendency towards showers through Sunday and into the early part of next week. Becoming cooler next week too.

Saturday 24/4/21
The area of high pressure remains affecting the whole of the country through Saturday. Cloud in Ireland, Wales and southern England, although some sunny spells here as well. Best of the sunshine in Scotland. Staying breezy in southern Ireland and southern England, together with the risk of a few spots of rain or drizzle in southern Ireland. Highs at 14 to 16C, feeling cold on eastern coasts.

Sunday 25/4/21
High pressure is probably going to be over the north of the country on Sunday. An easterly flow in southern areas with broken cloud for many. The best of any brightness is likely to be in the west. Sunnier skies in northern Scotland. Highs at 12C in the east, 15C in the west. Feeling cold over eastern areas.
 

Monday 26/4/21
A small area of low pressure may drift into northern Scotland on Monday. This brings some rain here, most in the north and west. Drier for the rest of Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland. Broken cloud and bright spells, the best of the sunshine in the south. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 16C in the sunshine in southern England.

Tuesday 27/4/21
Lower pressure to the east of the Uk on Tuesday. Showery outbreaks of rain in northern Scotland and some of these affecting Northern Ireland too. Other parts of England and Wales as well as southern Ireland and southern Scotland should be dry. Broken cloud and some bright spells, the best in the south. Highs at 16C in southern England, 8C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday 28/4/21
A slack pressure flow on Wednesday. There may be some broken cloud and some showers, most in northern and eastern areas. A few bright spells but a fair amount of cloud is likely too. A cool day. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Thursday 29/4/21
The slack pressure flow remains through Thursday. Scattered showers here and there, a few brighter spells too. Highs at 9 to 13C.
