Cold at first, rain in the southeast during the weekend, then a little milder next week

A chilly start to the week with some cold days ahead. Overnight frosts too where the skies become clearer, mostly in the north and west. A risk of some persistent rain in southeastern parts of the UK through Saturday and Sunday. Tending to be a little milder next week with some drizzle and rain in the north and west, drier in the east and south.

Saturday 10/4/21
Low pressure to the south of the UK will be bringing cloud and periods of rain across southeast England on Saturday. Some cloud and a few showers affecting much of Wales, the Midlands and northern England. Drier and brighter elsewhere with sunny spells, although still a risk of some showers in the north. A chilly day for all. Highs at 6C in southern England, 8C in northern England and 5C in northern Scotland.


Sunday 11/4/21
Low pressure over the Low Countries could bring further rain to East Anglia and southeast England on Sunday. Some cloud through the Midlands and southern England, a risk of a few showers. These showers could also affect eastern England. Brighter in Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Ireland and mostly dry too. Another cold day with a widespread morning frost in the north and west. Daytime temperatures at 6 to 9C.


Monday 12/4/21
Pressure is going to be high over southern areas on Monday This brings broken cloud and some bright or sunny spells for many areas. Some thicker cloud in northwest Scotland and western Ireland with some outbreaks of rain here. Highs at a milder 7 to 10C.

Tuesday 13/4/21
High pressure stays to the south of the country through Tuesday. This brings a dry day with broken cloud to much of England and Wales. Drizzle and patchy rain in northwest England and for western coasts of Wales. More persistent rain in western Scotland and western Ireland. Drier in eastern Ireland and eastern Scotland. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Wednesday 14/4/21
Low pressure north of Scotland on Wednesday. Cloud and periods of rain in Scotland and Ireland as well as northwest England and Wales. Eastern and southern areas are probably going to be drier with broken cloud and a few bright spells. Highs at 13C in southeast England, 9C in northern Scotland and Ireland.

Thursday 15/4/21
A ridge of high pressure brings dry conditions through much of England and Wales as well as Ireland. Broken cloud and a few bright spells. Cloud and rain in western Scotland and the far north and west of Ireland. Highs at 8 to 11C.
