Sunday 03/01/21
Winds start to veer easterly into Sunday as low pressure develops to the southeast and high pressure pushes across Scotland. This brings wintry showers to eastern areas of the British Isles. Staying drier over northern and western areas with the best of the sun for Ireland, Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. Highs at 1 to 5C.

Monday 04/01/21
Monday could see low pressure bring an area of rain, sleet and snow accompanied by stronger winds across southern parts of the UK - mainly affecting England and Wales but also southern areas of Scotland. Staying dry, fine and cold over the rest of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs of 2 to 5C.

Tuesday 05/01/21
Low pressure to the south and high pressure to the north keeps a cold easterly flow over the UK and Ireland. Patchy rain, sleet and snow are expected over parts of England and Wales, but particularly eastern areas, while the north stays mainly dry. Highs of 0 to 4C.

Wednesday 06/01/21
An area of low pressure could develop over the southern North Sea and push into southeast England. This would bring snow as well as sleet and rain to eastern areas intially but spread across much of England and into Wales. Drier further north and across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Highs of 1 to 6C.

Thursday 07/01/21
Any lingering rain, sleet and snow will soon clear to the south of England and push over the Channel allowing for a largely dry day to develop across much of England and Wales, but with a continued stream of wintry showers still down western coasts. Further north, snow then rain will push into northwestern areas of the UK and Ireland. Highs of 2 to 6C.

Friday 08/01/21
Detail is uncertain for Friday but models are suggesting the UK be within a trough and therefore it will be a rather cloudy day for many with a mix of rian sleet and snow for places. Highs of 1 to 6C.
