Morning Call - August 14, 2019
Rain and drizzle
Showers to west

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 14th August 2019

Rain and drizzle passing east, showery to the west

Good morning,

It's a dry start to the morning in eastern Scotland and eastern England although cloud is increasing. That's because rain in western and southern parts of the UK is making progress eastwards bringing a damp spell of weather to most. Mist will be covering hills, and the most persistent of the rain is expected over central and southern England.

Scotland is damp and drizzly overall, although eastern areas may well stay dry throughout the day. Heavier rain and showers with stronger winds affecting western Scotland this afternoon. Becoming brighter in Ireland, although breezy and showery here.

Tonight is breezy with some showers as rain clears the east. Most showers in northern and western Scotland as well as western coasts of England and Wales.
