Morning Call - September 01, 2019
Showers, outbreaks of rain
Breezy with sunny spells

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 1st September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Frequent showers for northern and western areas. Outbreaks of rain at times in the east. Generally drying up through the day to leave a dry and bright evening for many.

Good morning,

Many areas will see showers through this morning including much of Scotland and Northern Ireland, Wales, western Ireland and much of northern and central England. Cloudy skies over northern Scotland, brighter skies to the south.

Through the late morning and into the early afternoon showers will merge over eastern Scotland and northeast England to give heavier bursts of more prolonged rain for a time. Elsewhere showers spread into eastern Ireland but generally ease for most other areas. There will be plenty of sunshine around this afternoon with the best of the brightness over Wales, western England and western Scotland. Feeling cool in the northwesterly breeze with highs at 11 to 19C.

Showers and rain ease into Sunday evening though a few isolated spots of rain may linger over western parts of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. A mostly clear evening across the British Isles.

Have a great day!
Claire
