Morning Call - September 21, 2019
Dry & bright east
Cloudy, outbreaks of rain west

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 21st September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A change in the weather for many today as high pressure slips away east and lower pressure moves into western parts of the British Isles.

Good morning,

It's a dry and bright start for most across the UK and Ireland today though it will be cloudy to the southwest with some outbreaks of rain for the far southwest of Ireland and England. Cloud and rain will edge northeastward through the morning with outbreaks of rain extending across the southwestern half of Ireland, into much of Wales and across southwest England. A dry and bright morning for Scotland, Northern Ireland and much of England.

Cloud and rain continue to edge northeastward through the afternoon affecting the island of Ireland, Wales, southwest England and into the Midlands. Rain will be largely showery in nature though western parts of Ireland could see some more prolonged, heavy bursts of rain through the afternoon. High temperatures limited to 16 or 17C for eastern parts of Scotland, northern and southern Ireland and the east coast of England; 19 to 23C for most other areas.

Showery outbreaks of rain continue to edge northeastwards this evening extending across western England and into the southwest of Scotland. Showers continue across the island of Ireland, Wales and the southwest. Staying dry and bright for much of Scotland and the northeast and east of England.

Have a great day!
Claire
