Cloudy for a time on south coast
Good morning,
High pressure will build in from the southwest leading to a fair day for most places with plenty of sunshine. Feeling fresher than Thursday.
A weak cold front will affect the English Channel with cloud and patchy rain or drizzle for a few hours on southeastern coasts, but clearing to leave brightening skies for the afternoon.
Showers will affect western Scotland and the Northern Isles on a brisk west to southwest breeze here, although total rainfall small. Dry to the east of the Highlands.
Today's top temperatures will reach 22C in the southeast, 17 to 20C for central England & Wales, 13 to 16C for northern Britain and Ireland.
Have a great day. Garry
