Outbreaks of rain
Sunshine & showers

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 27th September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Outbreaks of rain, sometimes heavy, affecting England, Ireland and Wales followed by showers, predominantly to the west. Drier to the north but cloudy.

Good morning,

Outbreaks of rain and strong winds affecting much of Ireland first thing this morning and spreading east across Wales, much of England and southern Scotland. A drier morning for central and norther parts of Scotland though there could be some rain for the Western Isles.

Showers follow behind this band of rain for western areas through the morning and afternoon. The heaviest rain clearing to the east through the early afternoon leaving a drier and brighter afternoon for eastern areas. Staying breezy over Ireland, England and Wales. High temperatures at 12 to 15C to the north and west, 18 or 19C to the southeast.

Showers persisting for western areas through this evening. A bright evening for eastern parts of Ireland and much of England and Wales. Cloudier over Scotland.

Have a good day!
Claire
