Morning Call - September 06, 2019
Outbreaks of rain south
Cooler, showers north

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 6th September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Outbreaks of rain for southern parts of the UK and Ireland today followed by cooler conditions and frequent showers to the north.

Good morning,

A cold front moving southward across the country reaches the north of England by Friday morning bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain to southern Ireland, Wales and much of England throughout the morning. Over Scotland and Northern Ireland it will be brighter and cooler with frequent showers. These perhaps merging to give longer spells of rain over northwest Scotland.

The front continues to sink southward through the afternoon with the rain becoming lighter and more showery in nature as it reaches southern England. It should clear the south coast by the early evening bringing cooler temperatures and brighter conditions with scattered showers to much of England and Wales. High temperatures at just 13 to 16C for most today.

Showers ease for most areas into this evening though perhaps lingering a bit longer for some northern and western coasts and hills.

Have a great day!
Claire
