Temperatures cooling
Showers, outbreaks of rain

Saturday
Low pressure is centred off eastern Scotland on Saturday. This brings another mixed day for the UK. There will be bands of showers affecting many areas, especially through the morning. Some brighter spells too. The showers tending to ease in the afternoon and become less frequent though another area of low pressure moving across Ireland through the morning brings heavy rain and strong winds to Wales and southwest England through Saturday evening. Windy in the south, but mild overall here. Highs at 18 or 19C in southern England, 13C in Scotland.

Saturday Night
Further outbreaks of heavy rain and strong winds for Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England and southern Scotland through the night from Saturday into Sunday as an area of low pressure tracks east across the UK. Drier for northern Scotland but a cloudy night here. Overnight lows at 7 to 15C.

Sunday
An area of low pressure crosses the UK on Sunday. This takes heavy periods of rain with it, most of it in England and Wales. Following from the west and north during the afternoon will be sunny spells and scattered showers as well as cooler temperatures. Showers most frequent for north-facing coasts and hills. Continuing windy in the south too. Highs at 18C in the south, 12 to 13C elsewhere.

Monday
Low pressure to the east first thing on Monday morning with cooler air following from the north. Sunny spells for most, a scattering of showers on windward facing coasts and hills. Cloud and rain arriving through southern Ireland during the morning, then through Wales, England and southern Scotland later in the afternoon and evening. High temperatures at 9 or 10C in northern Scotland, 13 to 17C elsewhere.
