Windy and cool with heavy showers and rain in the west

Good morning,

A cool and windy day for many today. A cold front is bringing some rain in East Anglia and southeast England this morning, this clearing to the east fairly quickly. Brighter skies for much of England and Wales. Heavy showers in western Scotland and Ireland, the winds picking up to gale fore here through this morning.

The heavy showers, strong winds and longer periods of rain affecting western Scotland, western England and Wales this afternoon. Eastern areas will be brighter with sunny spells but also some showers. The showers continue this evening but then fade as we head into tonight.
