Sunshine, warm south
Rain north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 12th September 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Dry and warm to the south, rain and cloud in the north

Good morning,

The best of the morning sunshine is going to be in more eastern and southern areas. Clouding over here as the day progresses. Further north there will be more cloud with periods of rain passing through southern Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as northwest England. Cooler with showers in northern Scotland.

This afternoon is going to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain in northern England and Wales, low cloud and fog affecting western coasts and hills. Staying drier and brighter to the south, warm here too. Chillier with sunshine and mostly dry westher in the north, a few showers in western Scotland. Isolated showers in northern and western Scotland tonight. Some cloud in the south at first but this clears to leave dry weather and clear skies.
