Morning Call - September 17, 2019
Chilly start
Mostly dry & bright

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 17th September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

After a chilly start, any early mist or fog patches will burn off to leave a mostly dry and bright day for the UK and Ireland. Some showers affecting the far north of Scotland later.

Good morning,

It's a chilly start to the day for many this morning but dry with plenty of sunshine for southern and eastern areas. Any early morning mist or fog patches in the southwest should quickly burn off.

Continuing dry through this afternoon with the best of the sunshine always to the east and south. Cloudier to the north and west as a front lies close by. High temperatures reaching just 10 to 12C across northern Scotland, 19 or 20C in the south of England. More widely we should see highs reaching 14 to 17C.

A front brings light outbreaks of rain into the far northwest of Scotland through this evening along with increasing amounts of cloud over the north of the UK. Dry elsewhere with the best of the evening sunshine over Ireland, Wales and central and southern parts of England.

Have a great day!
Claire
