Morning Call - September 16, 2019
A few scattered showers
Brightening later

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 16th September 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

High pressure brings a mostly dry day to the UK and Ireland though weak fronts will bring showers into northern Scotland and to parts of Wales and the south of England.

Good morning,

A cloudy start to the day for most with showers affecting the far north of Scotland, parts of Wales and East Anglia. Showers ease over Wales through the morning and clear away from eastern England too. Conditions brighten over the far northeast of Scotland though it remains showery here.

Through the afternoon there is a chance of showers developing over southern parts of England though they will start to ease over Scotland. Skies should brighten here giving some spells of sunshine at times. Mostly cloudy elsewhere. High temperatures at just 11 or 12C to the north of Scotland, 20 or 21C for southern England. More widely high temperatures reaching 14 to 18C.

Showers dry up into the evening and cloud starts to break to give some good spells of sunshine before nightfall, particularly over northern and central parts of England.

Have a great day!
Claire
