Plenty of dry weather ahead this week with sunny spells; feeling warm
Pressure is going to be high over the UK and Ireland in the coming week. This brings warm conditions to many although there will be some cloud around on many days. Generally, most cloud is to the north and west although as the winds change direction cloud will be drifting onto other coasts. Models are hinting at a change to more unsettled conditions through next weekend.

Thursday 19/09/19
Pressure stays high on Thursday. This brings more dry weather and plenty of sunshine, especially in the south. Cloudier to the north and east with a slight chance of showers over northeast Scotland and the Northern Isles. High temperatures at 16 to 22C.
 Friday 20/09/19
High pressure to the east on Friday brings another mostly dry day. Broken cloud and lots of sunny spells, although the threat of some lower cloud along coasts. Becoming breezy over northwestern areas with cloud building over Ireland later. Highs at 17 to 21C.
 Saturday 21/09/19
The area of high pressure continues to slip east on Saturday. A front brings increasing cloud from the west and outbreaks of showery rain for Ireland and the far southwest of the UK. Staying dry for most with good sunny spells to the east. Highs at 16 to 22C.
Sunday 22/09/19
A cloudy day with showers and outbreaks of rain for many as low pressure moves in from the west. Rain heaviest and most frequent in the west. Breezy too with the best of the sunshine to the northeast. High temperatures at 17 to 23C.
Monday 23/09/19
A mixture of sunshine and showers for the UK on Monday. A further area of low pressure may arrive from the west bringing high winds and outbreaks of rain later. Drier and brighter to the east. Highs at 13 to 23C.
Tuesday 24/09/19
Another mixed day with cloudy skies, sunny spells, showers and outbreaks of rain. Drier to the north and east. High temperatures at 15 to 19C.
