Mostly dry & sunny
Very warm

Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

It's a mostly sunny, dry and very warm day across the UK and Ireland. Some rain for far western parts of Ireland and Scotland where temperatures will be fresher too.

Good morning,

It's a dry and mostly bright start to the day across the British Isles this Bank Holiday Monday. Some cloud around over far western parts of Ireland, Scotland and Wales and for southwestern England. Any mist or fog patches over western parts of the UK and Ireland should clear as the morning develops.

A front to the west of Ireland and Scotland may bring occasional spots of light rain or showers to these areas through the morning and into the afternoon but, on the whole, it will be a dry and sunny day across the UK and Ireland. High temperatures reaching just 17 or 18C under the cloud in the far west, more widely 20 to 30C with the warmest temperatures for eastern England.

Into Monday evening and we may see a few showers develop over southwestern England and Wales. Outbreaks of rain continuing too for western parts of Ireland and Scotland, becoming heavier through the evening and overnight.

Have a great day!
Claire
