Morning Call - August 03, 2019
Warm
Sunny spells & showers

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 3rd August 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A warm and dry day for many with showers and outbreaks of rain spreading into Ireland and western parts of the UK throughout the day.

Good morning,

Saturday starts mostly dry across the British Isles and any early mist or fog patches over the northern half of the country should clear quickly. Brighter skies first thing for eastern areas, cloudier to the west with a few scattered showers edging into southwestern Ireland. Through the morning, cloud will continue to build toward the east and showers will start to flare up over western parts of the UK too. Showery rain continuing for southern and western parts of Ireland.

Outbreaks of rain continuing over Ireland into the afternoon while showers will become more frequent over Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and northern parts of England. Some of these showers could be locally heavy and thundery. Staying dry further east and south with the best of the sunshine over northeastern Scotland. High temperatures widely at 19 to 23C, locally warmer in the southeast.

Showers and outbreaks of rain will continue into the evening across the island of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and for northern parts of England. Elsewhere will see a dry and fine end to the day.

Have a good day!
Claire
