It's another breezy day with showers for the UK and Ireland but there will be plenty of sunshine around too.

Good morning,

Another showery start to the day across Ireland and for western parts of the UK today. Through the morning showers will spread eastward across Scotland while a band of rain will develop over west Wales and edge eastward toward the West Midlands. This band of rain may contain some thundery downpours.

Rain, some of it thundery, spread across the Midlands into eastern and southern parts of England through the afternoon while showers continue over western areas. There will be plenty of good spells of sunshine between the showers while some eastern parts of Scotland and northeastern England should stay dry. High temperatures ranging from 15C in the north to 21C in the southeast.

Monday evening sees showers and rain easing for most though it may persist over some western coastal areas.
