Morning Call - January 22, 2021
Brighter and cold
Snow showers north & west

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 22nd January 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cold and brighter with sunny spells, some snow showers around northern and western coasts

A much better day for today. It will be feeling cold in the north-westerly wind but at least there will be some sunny spells for most of us. Snow showers over northern and western Scotland during today and there may be a few across western and northern coast of Ireland to. Dryer for other areas although a very icy morning on the roads and pavements.

This afternoon sees very little change. You will still need to wrap up very warm as it will be feeling cold but at least there will be some bright or sunny spells for many of us. Snow showers still affecting northern and western coast of Scotland and Ireland.

A widespread frost develops again tonight with a further risk of some wintry showers around northern and western coasts. However skies will be much clearer inland.
