Sleet and snow over hills of Scotland, wet north and east
A wet morning to come across much of central and southern parts of Scotland as well as northern England. There will be some sleet and snow over the high ground of Scotland with northern Scotland been dry but cold. Misty and cloudier conditions across much of the rest of England and Wales and Ireland. Outbreaks of drizzle at times.
This afternoon sees further outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow across central Scotland. Some drizzle in northern England. More central and southern parts of England will be dry overall with some broken cloud and also some sunny spells. Thicker cloud and rain affecting western and southern Ireland later. Mild in these areas too.
A further spell of rain passing east and north through tonight. They will again be a risk of some sleet and snow over southern Scotland.
