Morning Call - January 26, 2021
Dull damp south & west
Colder Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 26th January 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Rain spreads east, murky for many, cold and bright in Scotland

A widespread frost to start this morning and there will be lots of ice around on roads and pavements too. Some sunny spells in northern and eastern areas. By contrast it is rain in Ireland and it's misty and murky here too. This damp weather will be spilling fairly quickly eastwards to be into Wales and southwest England by midday.

This afternoon is then wet across Wales and western England. Drier in the east and there will be some brightness in northern Scotland. Staying wet in Ireland. Misty and murky for many as that rain arrives and it turns milder across southwest Ireland and southwest England too.

Staying murky and damp tonight in much of England and Wales with steady rain for many. Fog covering hills. Drier in Ireland. The colder, drier weather holds on for all but the far south of Scotland tonight. A severe frost again in central Scotland.
