Windy and mild

Good morning,

An exceptionally mild and particularly windy day as we head into 2022. Rain clearing northern Scotland first thing then another band of rain pushes in from the west though turning patchy as it tracks eastwards across the UK.

The afternoon sees rain across the southeast of England. Blustery showers in the west, these heavy and frequent across west Scotland. Sunny spells and drier weather further east.

Rain pushing north across northern Scotland through the evening. Largely dry elsewhere though showers in the west, these merging into longer spells of rain later on in the night across Wales and southwest England.
