Fog and frost in south. Cloudy and drizzly further west.

A frosty and foggy start through central and eastern parts of England in particular. Lower cloud and drizzle looks to affect western coasts of England, Wales and Scotland with with more cloud encroaching further east through the day.

The best of any brightness is likely to be across more eastern areas and where the fog lifts.

Tonight, cloud cover arather extensive with drizzle and light rain further west, becoming heavier and more persistent across northwest Scotland. Some clear spells further east where it will be cooler.
