Staying mild though windy

A windy morning with rain across parts of central and southern Scotland, affecting some regions of northern England and north Wales too. Blustery showers for some further south but largely dry here. Dry too across northern Scotland.

Winds easing off and rain becoming light and patchy heading into the afternoon. Sunny spells developing across England and Wales.

Overnight, staying dry for most, although patchy rain will move in across the north and west later. Winds strengthening again too.
