Morning Call - January 06, 2022
Unsettled
Gales, snow for some

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 6th January 2022
Duty forecaster: Alexi Venerus

Windy and wet, snow and ice for some.

Good morning,

Strong to gale force winds as well as outbreaks of rain moving east across the country today, falling as snow for some.

Dry and cold to start then outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow pushing across much of the UK and Ireland through the morning. Southeastern areas may just stay largely dry until the afternoon. Rain, sleet and snow showers expected behind, heavy and frequent snow showers for northern Scotland.

Staying windy overnight with blustery wintry showers about, snow falling further north and over higher ground. A frost developing for many.

Stay warm.
Alexi
