Wintry showers on eastern coasts, best sunshine in west then snow tonight
Starting cold this morning with a widespread frost across many parts of the country. Eastern areas seeing less frost but it is here that there will be some showers continuing to affect eastern coast. The showers will be more persistent across parts of East Anglia and the south east. Tending to be drier in the west with sunny spells.
Remaining cold for all this afternoon. Further wintry showers of the eastern coast whilst Kent and Sussex once again remain rather wet. The best of the sunshine in more western areas once again. A few showers in eastern Ireland whereas most of the country should be dry.
Night sees an area of snow moving south east through Scotland and Ireland. A few snow showers over eastern coast of England. Dry for most with a widespread, and in places severe frost on the clearer skies.
