Morning Call - January 29, 2021
Cold, north, some snow
Milder south

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 29th January 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Snow in eastern Scotland, rain at first for southern England, snow for some tonight

Period of snow still affecting central and eastern parts of Scotland this morning. The snow could be heavy over the Grampians as first. Cloud and outbreaks of rain in Wales, central and southern England. Probably drier for much of Ireland with a few spots of rain here.

This afternoon sees the snow in eastern Scotland fading away, although there could be a few snow flurries in northeast England. The rain to the south fades and most areas are likely to become dry, although still fairly cloudy. Thickening cloud bringing some rain in the southwest of Ireland and far southwest of England later. Cold across Scotland and northern England, milder to the south.

An area of rain in Ireland, southern Wales and southern England tonight, this turning to snow over Northern Ireland, north Wales and the Midlands as well as Home Counties later.
