Morning Call - January 03, 2021
Showers east
Dry, fine west

Issued: 0530hrs Sunday 3rd January 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Wintry showers affect eastern coastal regions of England, Ireland and Scotland today with a few of these showers moving further inland at times over northern England and southern Scotland. The best of the sun will be over Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland though skies should brighten over England and Wales through the afternoon.

Good Morning,

A dry and fine start to the day for much of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland with isolated showers over eastern parts of Scotland. Cloudier for England and Wales with showers to the southwest and over eastern coastal regions of England. Some of the showers are likely to be wintry and one or two will make their way further inland over southern Scotland and northern England.

Continuing much the same into the afternoon though some more brightness should develop for England and Wales. Wintry showers continue to affect eastern coasts of England and Scotland while a few will make their way into southeast Ireland too. Staying cloudier for southern England with some patchy rain perhaps affecting the coast here too.

Plenty of clear skies this evening with a scattering of wintry showers for eastern parts of Ireland, England and Scotland continuing.

Have a good day!

Claire
