With the mild comes cloud and rain. Rain will spread across the country by evening. Strengthening winds.
A much milder start to the day across the country with limited if any frost about. Mainly cloudy with just the far south and southeast corner seeing the best of any sunny spells. Expect rain to push east across Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland and into northern parts of England through the morning, locally heavy and persistent in west Scotland. Breezy too.
In the afternoon, this rain will spread into Wales and central England leaving the far south and southeast corner dry until evening. Strengthening winds here. The far north of Scotland will turn drier as rain clears to the south here. Rain continuing elsewhere and could be heavy in places over northern England and Wales.
Rain will gradually clear Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern parts of England through the night allowing for it to turn colder with some wintry showers then peppering the far north and northeast through the early hours. Cloud and patchy rain across the rest of England and Wales with more persistent rainfall for parts of Ireland. A widespread frost is expected in the north by dawn.
