A mixed week ahead but with possible signs of high pressure from next weekend.

A mixed week ahead with some largely dry days but other days seeing rain and or showers. Temperatures becoming warm on some days. Higher pressure possibly ridging in more across the country from next weekend.

Wednesday 26/5/21
Rain across parts of southern Scotland into northeast England first thing will track southwards affecting central then southeastern parts of England later but becoming patchy. Elsewhere, there will be sunny spells and plenty of dry conditions thanks to weak high pressure, but with some developing showers through the day. Highs at 10 to 16C, coolest further east.
 

Thursday 27/5/21
Relatively weak high pressure looks to bring largely dry and fine conditions across the UK on Thursday although we cannot rule out some showers developing further east. Meanwhile, Ireland and Northern Ireland will see thicker cloud and some rain push in from a low pressure system just to the west of Ireland. A warm day for many with highs between 14 and 19C.
 

Friday 28/5/21
Friday now looks to be rather mixed to unsettled with rain affecting Wales, much of England into southern Scotland. The rest of Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland will see sunny spells with scattered showers. Cloudy across southeast England but staying largely dry here. Highs at 10 to 18C.

Saturday 29/5/21
Saturday could see many places staying drier day with sunny spells about. Although, showers are expected to affect eastern parts of England. Possible thicker cloud further west across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland. A potentially rather warm day for many with highs at 15 to 20C.

/ Sunday 30/5/21
High pressure on Sunday will allow for largely dry conditions, however, there is the risk of a few showers developing locally. Highs at 12 to 18C.

Monday 31/5/21
The potential for high pressure to stick around into the new week, allowing for largely dry and fine conditions to continue. Low confidence though in this at this stage. Highs at 13 to 18C.
