Heavy showers, some of them prolonged and milder than recently
Unsettled weather persists through the coming week. Low pressure will be bringing showers, and these are likely to be heavy and thundery at times. More prolonged periods of rain could occur at the weekend, and at times the showers will also be more persistent. Temperatures will be milder than recent weeks.

Thursday 13/5/21 An unsettled day for Thursday as the whole of the British Isles remains under low pressure. Cloud and rain across many areas of England, Wales and Scotland. It appears most rainfall will be in northern and eastern areas. To the west there may be some brighter skies and also some showers. Thes showers will probably be heaviest across Ireland where there could be some thunder and hail. Highs at 12 to 15C.
Friday 14/5/21 Low pressure remains on Friday. Sunny spells and showers developing. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times. With light winds the showers will be slow moving and so some areas could be wetter than others. Highs at 11 to 14C in the north, 17C in southern England.
Saturday 15/5/21 A front pushes eastwards on Saturday bringing showery bursts of rain. The rain could be heavy to the west and south. Highs around 13 to 17C.
Sunday 16/5/21 Further showers on Sunday as low pressure affects all of the British Isles. The showers are likely to be heavy and thundery as well as prolonged. Highs at 10 to 16C.
Monday 17/5/21 Sunshine and showers through Monday as low pressure remains across all areas. The showers are likely to be heaviest in northern areas, fewer of them to the south. Highs at 11 to 16C.
Tuesday 18/5/21 More unsettle don Tuesday as rain passes east. The rain could be heavy at times in western areas, but the east should be drier. Highs at 12 to 17C.
