Cold and unsettled, more rain nat the weekend then showers next week and less cold

Remaining unsettled during the coming week. Showers and staying cold over the next few days before low pressure brings wind and rain through all areas by Saturday. The area of low pressure then stays close by through early next week with further showers for all. Probably becoming less cold in the east.

Friday 7/5/21
Low pressure to the south on Friday, high pressure to the north. Heavy showers in the north and west of Scotland, some wintry over the hills. A few of these heavy showers may also trigger over northern England in the late morning and afternoon. Drier to the south and brighter too, although just about anywhere is at risk of catching a shower. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, 15C in southeast England.


Saturday 8/5/21
Low pressure over the UK on Saturday. An area of rain spreading northwards, some heavy periods of rain over all areas. The rain will be heavy at times, but will be turning more showery in the west later. Windy for all. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, turning milder for England, Wales and Ireland, tops at 17C where the sun breaks through in parts of Wales and the southwest.


Sunday 9/5/21
Low pressure is expected to be centred over Ireland on Sunday. This is going to be bringing another days of showers, some of them heavy top most of the UK. Some longer spels of rain may affect southeast England. Further rain in northern Scotland and perhaps in northern and western Ireland. Highs at 17C in England, a cold 6C in the rain in Scotland and Ireland.

Monday 10/5/21
Low pressure is expected to be over Ireland again on Monday. This brings strong winds and frequent, heavy, blustery showers across much of Ireland and the western UK. Fewer showers the east with some sunny spells. Highs at 14C in the southeast, more generally a chilly 7 to 10C.

Tuesday 11/5/21
The area of low pressure continues to be affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland on Tuesday. A mix of sunshine and showers for all, the heaviest of the showers and perhaps some longer spells of rain in Ireland and western Scotland. Fewer showers further east. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Wednesday 12/5/21
Low pressure north of the UK on Wednesday. Sunshine and showers again, most of them through Scotland and Ireland. Scattered showers further south, some sunny spells as well. Highs at 13 to 18C.
