Becoming milder and drier overall, although still some showers

Pressure is going to be building through the week bringing warmer weather and less rain. It's looking likely to be dry for a few days through the weekend for many, although annoying rainfall is likely on most days.

Friday 28/5/21
A rather cloudy day on Friday as a weak occluded front edges east before fading away. There will be lots of cloud for many areas, especially Scotland and the west of the UK. outbreaks of light rain and drizzle for many coasts and hills. Tending to be drier in central and southern areas with some bright spells developing. The afternoon sees further outbreaks of rain and drizzle in northern England and Scotland as well as over the hills of Wales, but again tending to get brighter in central and southern parts. Brighter too in western Scotland and Ireland. Starting to feel warm with highs at 21C in any sunshine in the south, 18C in Ireland, 14C in the cloudier areas of northern England and Scotland.


Saturday 29/5/21
Higher pressure over the UK and Ireland on Saturday. A fair amount of cloud for many areas. This cloud breaking here and there, some sunny spells developing. A few showers could form, especially in the Midlands, eastern Wales, central southern and northern England. Cloudier skies in the far west of Scotland and western Ireland. Highs at 18 to 21C.
 


Sunday 30/5/21
Pressure stays high over the UK and Ireland on Sunday. There should be plenty of sunshine and it's likely to be warm. Isolated showers could affect the hills of Wales and northern England. Some ow cloud over western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 18 to 23C.

Bank Holiday Monday 31/5/21
High pressure brings a mostly fair day in England and Wales with some good spells of sunshine. A front moves through Scotland and Ireland bringing some showery outbreaks of rain here. Highs at 22C in England and Wales, 14C in northwest Scotland.

Tuesday 1/6/21
A weakening front passing through England and Wales on Tuesday. This could bring some showers and cloud into central and southern England and Wales. Brighter and coler in northern parts of the UK and Ireland, some heavy showers in the west. Highs at 21C in the far south of England, 14C in northern Scotland.

Wednesday 2/6/21
A few showers may affect the far south of England on Wednesday. Elsewhere it will be bright. Heavier showers in western Scotland and Ireland. Fewer showers in the east and south. Highs at 15 to 20C.
