Sunday 16/5/21
Further showers on Sunday as low pressure circulates over Ireland. The showers are likely to be heavy and thundery as well as prolonged. Gusty winds in the showers. Northern Scotland, however, should stay largely dry with whatever showers that develop affect mostly western areas. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Monday 17/5/21
Low pressure moves eastwards off towards the Low Countries on Monday, which allows a more north-westerly flow to set up across the UK and Ireland. Sunshine and showers are again expected and some are likely to be heavy and possibly thundery at times. Best of any drier weather will be across northern Scotland as well as westernmost areas of England, Wales and Ireland. Top temperatures near 10 to 14C.

Tuesday 18/5/21
A northwest flow continues across the British Isles on Tuesday. There will be sunny spells and a scattering of showers. The showers will be heaviest and most prevalent in the north and east with fewer in the west. Cloud could thicken across southern Ireland and southwest England including Wales as an area of low pressure pushes towards the Biscay. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Wednesday 19/5/21
Differing model output for Wednesday brings low confidence on the weather pattern currently. Signs are that low prerssure will sit to the west of Ireland allowing for outbreaks of rain across northern and western parts of the British Isles, possibly drier further east. Highs at 10 to 16C.

Thursday 20/5/21
Low pressure sits towards the south of England on Thursday allowing for showers or longer spells of rain to affect eastern areas of England mainly but with scattered showers further west. Drier towards Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 10 to 15C.

Friday 21/5/21
Currently models are suggesting an area of low pressure moves in once again from the Atlantic. This would bring spells of rain tracking from southwest to northeast through the day with northern Scotland seeing the driest conditions for longest. Winds will strengthen also. Low confidence in this at this stage. Highs at 10 to 16C.
