Staying mixed but with less rain and becoming milder
This week sees pressure slowly rising. However, there will be some heavy showers at first, with outbreaks of rain later in the week too. There will be some drier periods and temperatures are likely to be rising into the weekend.

Thursday 27/5/21 A wet day for Ireland, rain spreading to the west of Wales and southwest England later. Brighter for other areas with sunny spells in the morning. However, cloud will be developing with some showers developing in eastern parts of England through the late morning and afternoon. Western areas tending to become increasingly damp later in the day and through the evening. Highs at 16 to 19C.
Friday 28/5/21 A weakening front passes east as pressure increases through Friday. This will be bringing cloud and outbreaks of showery rain, although these tending to die away from many areas during the day. Drier in Ireland with sunny spells, and sunshine developing in parts of Wales, central and southern England later. Highs at 14C in cloudier areas, 17C where the sun comes out.
Saturday 29/5/21 Higher pressure over the UK and Ireland on Saturday. A fair amount of cloud for all areas. This cloud breaking here and there, some sunny spells developing. A few showers or outbreaks of rain may affect eastern parts of England. Highs at 14 to 18C.
Sunday 30/5/21 Pressure is likely to be staying high through Sunday. This should bring a dry day, although again there is likely to be broken cloud in many areas. The risk of some drizzle in the far west of Ireland and northwest Scotland. Highs at 17 to 20C.
Bank Holiday Monday 31/5/21 A weak front may bring some rain through Scotland, perhaps some of the rain reaching northwest England too. Elsewhere it should be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 17 to 21C.
Tuesday 1/6/21 June is expected to start with a ridge of high pressure over the country However, some rain could affect the far northwest of England and the far west of Ireland. Highs at 18 to 22C.
