Monday
The UK and Ireland will continue to be within a trough on Monday, so expect rain or showers at times for many. Still breezy across some southern and western coasts. Longer spells of rain will also push across northern Scotland and later into Northern Ireland and northern parts of Ireland. Showers or longer spells of rain also affecting much of England and Wales. Southern Scotland looks to stay largely dry. Highs at 9 to 14C.


Monday Night
Rain pushing into Wales in the evening as well as continuing across parts of northern Scotland. Overnight, showery outbreaks of rain will affect parts of England, Scotland and Wales, some merging into longer spells of rain. A separate system runs across southern Ireland later in the night bringing rain here. Lows generally at 2 to 6C but could dip close to 0C across some more sheltered areas.


Tuesday
A north to northwest wind flow on Tuesday with higher pressure to the west and lower pressure to the east. On a separate developing system tracking across St George's Channel into southwest England, expect rain to affect here in the morning. Elsewhere, there will be sunny spells but also some showers, these generally well scattered but could become more prevalent and heavy across parts of Scotland and eastern parts of England in the afternoon. Driest and sunniest of conditions across Ireland, Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. Highs at 10 to 14C.


Wednesday
Rain across parts of southern Scotland into northeast England first thing Wednesday will become patchy and track southwards affecting central then southeastern parts of England later. Elsewhere, there will be sunny spells and plenty of dry conditions thanks to weak high pressure, but with some developing showers through the day. Highs at 10 to 16C, coolest further east.
