Morning Call - March 25, 2019
Mostly dry
Bright in the south

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 25th March 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

It will be a mostly dry day with good sunny spells for England and Wales. Cloudier to the north and west with a few light spots of rain possible at times.

Good morning,

It will be a chilly start to the day across the country as high pressure to the west brings the UK and Ireland into a northwest to northerly airflow. A touch of groundfrost is possible for northern areas first thing. It will be overcast through the morning for northern and western areas; bright in the south and east.

It will continue to be rather cloudy through the afternoon for Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland and cloud may thicken enough to bring a few spots of rain to northwestern and northern parts of Scotland. A few sunny spells may develop at times. Staying mostly bright and dry for England and Wales. High temperatures reaching 8 to 11C across the UK, 10 to 13C for Ireland.

Cloud will continue to edge southeastward through the evening reaching most parts of England and Wales by nightfall. Some light showers may continue to affect the Northern Isles.

Have a good day!
Claire
