Morning Call - March 08, 2019
Fine then rain
Increasing winds

Rain heads east after a fine start to the day

Good morning,

It's a fine start to the morning across much of the country. A ridge of high pressure has built overnight, but the bad news is it is not going to lats. Already fronts are bringing rain into the west of Ireland and this rain is going to be spreading quickly eastwards.

The rain reaches the west of the Uk by midday and by then will be heavy at times in Ireland, turning windier here as well. Still drier in the eastern Uk, but it won't be long before these areas turn wetter too. It may be the evening before the rain reaches southeast England.

Windy overnight as the rain clears east. Staying wet in Scotland with some rain over the hills here. A risk of gales in northern England and Scotland too.
