Thundery bursts of rain in the east, fair to the west

Good morning,

Cloud and outbreaks of thundery rain affecting much of central and eastern Scotland, northern England, the Midlands and southern England this morning. A similar area see further thundery outbreaks of rain feeding from the south this afternoon. Temperatures are likely to be fresher than on Thursday.
 

Brighter and fresher weather for western Scotland, western England, Wales and Ireland. Mostly dry here, but a risk of a few showers on the coasts and hills. Most of the showers in western Ireland.

Overnight more thundery periods of rain affect eastern and southern Scotland as well as eastern England. Thundery showers again in southern an central areas.
