Morning Call - July 11, 2019
Rain passes east
Very wet NE Scotland

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 11th July 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Showery rain passes east through the UK, most in the north, brighter to the west

Good morning,

An area of cloud and rain affecting much of western and southern Scotland, northwest England, northern and western Wales to start this morning. Drier in more central and southeastern areas, feeling muggy for all too. Drier and fresher in Ireland, a few showers in the far west.

This afternoon sees the rain mostly in central and eastern Scotland with showery bursts of rain in central and eastern England. Tending to turn brighter with good spells of sunshine in the west, although there will be some showers. Some local flooding may occur in northeast Scotland through the evening.

Tonight sees some showers in western areas, drier for many, However, northeast Scotland may be wet again overnight, the risk of local flooding continuing here.
