Morning Call - July 18, 2019
Fair, some showers
Rain in the east

Issued: 0530hrs Thursday 18th July 2019
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Patchy rain in the east, fresher for many but some showers in the west

Good morning,

The remnants of a front are over eastern parts of the Midlands and southern England this morning, bringing cloud and some patchy outbreaks of rain. A few showery bursts of rain are likely in East Anglia and southeast England into the afternoon. Across Scotland and Ireland there are sunny spells and these extend into Wales and western England. Showers affecting mostly Northern Ireland and western Scotland this morning.

This afternoon is bright and dry in most of England and Wales. Scattered showers affect the whole of Ireland, with further showers in much of Scotland. A fresher feeling day but temperatures still close to or above average for mid-July.

Overnight it stays dry with clear spells for many. Thicker cloud brings rain into the west and south of Ireland later. A few showers in western Scotland too.
