Morning Call - July 19, 2019
Wet for most
Breezy southwest

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 19th July 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Most of us will see some rain at some point throughout the day as an area of low pressure moves in from the southwest.

Good morning,

It's a very wet and breezy start to the day across much of Ireland, Wales and the southwest of England as an area of low pressure moves to the southwest of Ireland. Showers for northern and western parts of Scotland too. Cloudy for most though eastern parts of Scotland could start the day brightly.

The area of heaviest rain will move up through the Irish Sea throughout the morning affecting eastern parts of Ireland, Wales, northwestern England and southwestern Scotland by lunchtime. Showers following behind to the southwest and spreading eastward across northern parts of Scotland through the morning. Cloudy for most by lunchtime.

Into the afternoon and the heaviest rain will be focussed over southeastern Ireland and southern and central parts of Scotland. Lighter rain follows behind for much of northern and central England and the southwest. Showers also persisting for northern parts of Scotland. Staying breezy to the southwest. High temperatures widely at 18 to 22C, just 15 to 17C for much of Scotland, Northern Ireland and the north of England.

Rain moving into southeastern parts of England through Friday evening with some heavy bursts possible at times. Continuing rather wet for much of Ireland and for eastern parts of Scotland too.

Have a good day!
Claire
