After a wet weekend for some next week should become drier, although still with showers
An unsettled weekend with a risk of flooding across parts of southern Scotland and the far north of England. Higher pressure builds next week bringing drier weather with some sunny spells and feeling warmer too.

Monday 29/7/19 Low pressure will bring gales and heavy rain into southern England and Wales on Monday. Heavy showers in northern Scotland, fewer showers in the south of Scotland. A scattering of showers in Ireland. Drier in northern England with sunny spells. Highs at 24C in southeast England, 18C in Ireland and western Scotland.
Tuesday 30/7/19 Low pressure clears southeast England on Tuesday taking rain with it across East Anglia and southeast England. Improving to the west as a ridge of high pressure builds giving dry weather and sunny spells. Further rain arriving in western Ireland later. Highs at 17C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.
Wednesday 31/7/19 A westerly flow across the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. A ridge of higher pressure builds to the south and this brings a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Most of the showers will be in the west, drier in the east. Highs at 19 to 25C.
Thursday 1/8/19 A ridge of high pressure builds over the UK and Ireland on Thursday. This brings sunny spells and dry weather. Increased winds with cloud and rain in western Ireland. Highs at 18 to 25C.
Friday 2/8/19 High pressure extends a ridge north through most of the UK on Friday. This gives another fair day in most of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. Breezier weather with cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting western Ireland and western Scotland. Highs at 29C in the southeast, 23C in southern Ireland and 22C in Scotland.
Saturday 3/8/19 Rain in western Ireland on Friday. A mix of sunshine and showers over much of the rest of the UK. Highs at 16 to 23C.
