Saturday 03/08/19
A slack pressure gradient across the British Isles on Saturday with higher pressure to the east of the UK, although low pressure over the Atlantic may begin to make inroads, with thickening cloud and patchy rain moving into Ireland and western coastal areas of Britain through the day. Chance of local showery bursts, some of them thundery, through the late morning and into the afternoon. Many eastern counties should stay dry with sunny spells. Southerly winds freshening around western coasts. Highs 15 to 25C, warmest southeast.

Sunday 04/08/19
A warm and humid day, with sunshine and variable cloud as low pressure stays close by to the west. A few areas of showers are likely to develop, although detail is uncertain. Possible thundery outbreaks locally later in the day, pushing northeastwards. Light south to southwesterly winds. Temperatures rising to 18 to 27C, warmest across eastern England.

Monday 05/08/19
Confidence in the detail continues to be low as low pressure resides just west of the British Isles. A warm and humid day again, with further clusters of heavy and thundery showers possible. Rain may be more frequent around western coasts and hills. Highs at 17 to 27C, warmest in the east and southeast.

Tuesday 06/08/19
Ongoing low confidence in the detail as low pressure remains centred to the west. Frontal systems pushing in from the Atlantic bring a risk of rain at times, possibly thundery. Also some dry and sunny periods. Highs 16 to 25C.

Wednesday 07/08/19
Low pressure moves over the northern UK on Wednesday bringing a risk of more widespread showers and thunderstorms. A warm and humid day, perhaps brightening from the west later. High temperatures at 15 to 23C.

Thursday 08/08/19
A weak ridge of high pressure may attempt to build over the British Isles on Thursday bringing a brighter, more settled day. The risk of showers, some thundery, continues as low pressure stays close by to the east. Highs at 14 to 23C.
