Plenty of dry weather, although there will be some showers at times

Plenty of dry weather over the next few days, feeling cool but there will be a few showers, especially to the north and northwest. Next week is likely to be starting similar, but showers and outbreaks of rain affecting many into the middle of the week.

Tuesday 09/07/19
Low pressure to the northwest brings a mostly cloudy day for Ireland and the UK. Early morning rain over the northern half of Ireland, Scotland, the far north of Wales and northern England will ease leaving showers for many. These may extend further south across central and southern parts of England and some of these will be heavy. A brighter day for southern Ireland and southwestern parts of the UK with central and southern parts of England staying dry. High temperatures widely at 16 to 21C, 22 to 23C in southeast England and southern Ireland.


Wednesday 10/07/19
Outbreaks of showers and rain for much of Ireland and the UK as low pressure is centred west of Ireland. Most of the rain showery though it may be rather heavy at times in eastern parts of England. Cloud and rain clearing from western parts of the UK to leave a mostly dry and bright afternoon. High temperatures generally ranging from 17 to 22C, cooler for northeast Scotland.


Thursday 11/07/19
Pressure stays low on Thursday. There will be frequent outbreaks of showery rain, some of it heavy, particularly for Ireland, Wales and England. Most areas seeing a rather overcast day. Drier over Scotland and the north of England where there should be some good sunny spells at times. Highs generally at 17 to 21C, though parts of the southeast could see 22 to 23C. Cooler in the north of Scotland.


Friday 12/07/19
High pressure begins to build once more on Friday though a weak trough may bring heavy showers to Ireland and western parts of the UK. Best of the sunshine in the southeast. High temperatures widely at 17 to 21C, cooler in northeast Scotland.


Saturday 13/07/19
Saturday sees high pressure continuing to build over the UK and Ireland. Occasional showers may affect Ireland, Wales and western England. Dry and bright elsewhere. High temperatures at 15 to 22C: cooler on eastern coasts at 13 or 14C, warmest to the west.

Sunday 14/07/19
High pressure staying over the British Isles on Sunday. A mostly dry day with the best of the brightness to the east. Occasional showers over Ireland, western Scotland and the northwest of England. High temperatures at 15 to 22C.
