Friday 02/08/19 Slack high pressure is expected to reside across the British Isles. Many places will be dry with sunny spells. A few showers popping up into the afternoon, these hit and miss, perhaps focused across western hills. Light winds and coastal breezes. Temperatures reaching 22 to 24C in central-western areas, locally a touch higher in favoured spots. Nearer 17C on eastern coasts with a breeze off the sea.
Saturday 03/08/19 Pressure stays slack, although low pressure over the Atlantic may begin to make inroads, with thickening cloud and patchy rain moving into Ireland and western coastal areas of Britain. Chance of local showery bursts into the afternoon. Many central-eastern counties should escape dry with sunny spells. Southerly winds freshening around western coasts. Highs 19 to 26C, warmest southeast.
Sunday 04/08/19 A warm and humid day, with sunshine and variable cloud. A few areas of showers are likely to develop, although detail is uncertain. Possible thundery outbreaks locally later in the day, pushing northeastwards. Light south to southwesterly winds. Temperatures rising to 22 to 27C, warmest across eastern England.
Monday 05/08/19 Confidence is low as low pressure resides just west of the British Isles. A warm and humid day again, with further clusters of heavy and thundery showers possible. Rain may be more frequent around western coasts and hills. Highs 21 to 27C, warmest in the east and southeast.
Tuesday 06/08/19 Ongoing low confidence. Frontal systems pushing in from the Atlantic bring a risk of rain at times, possibly thundery. Also some dry and sunny periods. Highs 20 to 26C.
Wednesday 07/08/19 A likelihood of sunny spells and heavy showers continuing into midweek. Staying quite warm and humid. Highs 20 to 25C.
