Settled for most and warm

High pressure sitting just to the west or southwest of the country keeps the weather largely dry and settled throughout the forecast period. Feeling warm too for most. The risk of cloudier skies and some patchy rain in the north and west at times as well as isolated showers developing across England over the next few days.

A weakeneed front across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland will bring cloudier skies to many here as well as some areas seeing patchy light rain that could last into the afternoon. Where the cloud does linger it will feel cooler too. Otherwise it will be a dry and largely fine day with sunny spells and feeling warm for many. Highs at 16 to 20C.
 

Monday 22/5/23
High pressure continues to ridge in across the country keeping most dry with warm sunshine on Monday. Atlantic fronts will continue to bring cloud with patchy rain across Ireland, Scotland and into northern England where a slightly brisker northerly wind picks up. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Tuesday 23/5/23
High pressure over the Azores continues to influence mostly dry and fine weather through Tuesday, though NW Scotland could see slightly more cloud cover with the risk of some patchy rain here. One or two isolated showers may develop across some eastern English counties. Highs at 15 to 20C.

Wednesday 24/5/23
Staying dry with plenty of sunny spells for most again on Wednesday, though cloudier skies and outbreaks of rain affect north and north-west Scotland where it looks to also see strengthened winds. Highs at 15 to 21C.

Thursday 25/5/23
Thursday is dry and fine for most with warm sunny spells. Scotland and Northern Ireland experiencing a slight brisker wind perhaps which could keep temperatures back slighty here. Highs at 15 to 22C.

Friday 26/5/23
Friday is again mostly dry and fine with plenty of sunny spells, though always the risk of more cloud and patchy rain across the far NW of Scotland. Highs at 15 to 22C.
