Lots of dry weather, sunny spells for many, more cloud northern Scotland

Pressure looks set to be high over the British Isles this week.This is going to be bringing lots of dry weather. Cloud will be well broken with sunny spells on most days. Weak fronts affecting northern Scotland bringing cloud and some drizzle or patchy rain on some days.

Thursday 25/5/23
Pressure remains high on Thursday. It is going to be staying dry with sunny spells. Always more cloud in the far north and northwest of Scotland, a few spots of rain over high ground in the far north. The afternoon remains similar with dry weather and sunny spells for most areas. Highs near 22C in southern England, 12C in northern Scotland.
 

Friday 26/5/23
High pressure over the UK and Ireland on Friday. It is going to be dry with broken cloud and lots of sunshine. Breezy in the far south of England. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, 18C in southern England.

Saturday 27/5/23
Pressure is high again on Saturday. Fair for much of England, Wales and Ireland. Thicker cloud in northern Scotland where a front may bring some outbreaks of rain. Temperatures at 20C in the sunshine in England and Wales, 12C in northern Scotland.

Sunday 28/5/23
A weak front may affect northern England and Ireland. This brings cloud and a few spots of rain on hills. Sunny spells and dry in central and northern Scotland. Brighter in England and Wales as well as southern Ireland with sunny spells. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 12C in the cloud through northern England and Ireland, 17C in southern England.

High pressure west of Ireland on Monday. A bright day with good spells of sunshine continuing. A risk of some broken cloud affecting eastern areas of England. Best sunshine in the west. Highs at 10 to 16C.

Tuesday 30/5/23
High pressure sits over the British Isles on Tuesday. There wil be some mist early in the morning, this lifting to leave the day dry and sunny. Probably windy in the far south. Highs at 16 to 21C.
