Rain in the far north and west.

Many seeing sunny spells along with largely dry weather, though a cold front approaches western Ireland as well as north and west Scotland in the morning bringing thicker cloud and outbreaks of rain here.

Through the afternoon the rain breaks up as it pushes southeastwards across Scotland into southern areas as well as in to eastern counties of Ireland and Northern Ireland. A few scattered showers may just develop across some east and south-eastern English counties too, otherwise dry.

The cold front continues to push east and south clearing western and central areas of Scotland as well as Ireland and Northern Ireland. The rain moves south across England and Wales through the early hours of Friday. The far south staying mostly dry.
